Within the catholic faith, relics are revered objects since they are closely linked to a saint. They may be a piece of cloth, a fragment of bone, a lock of hair or even a photograph. The person who invokes the power of the saint through the relic may rely upon its protective or sanctifying force.
The current exposition presents :
Relics that were stored at the Monastary of "Les Soeurs du Précieux-Sang" of Trois-Rivières which was established in 1887.
Objects that were in use for the purpose of Extreme Unction and the Last Sacrament.
The relics are presented as reliquary monstrances, a reliquary of the True Cross, framed reliquaries, reliquary pendants and finally a reliquary cross.
