The Trois-Rivières military museum is the museum of the 12th Canadian Armoured Regiment. This Canadian Army Unit, founded in 1871, was best known as the 12th Canadian Armoured Regiment (12th CAR), the Three Rivers Regiment and the Régiment de Trois-Rivières. During the Second World War, it fought in Sicily, in Italy and in Holland, and was brilliantly illustrated in the Adrano, Ortona, Termoli, Cassino and Liri battles. More recently, it took part in the war in Afghanistan, within the NATO missions. The military museum of Trois-Rivières is located in the General-Jean-Victor-Allard Armoury. Its purpose is to promote and value both the Canadian and Trois-Rivières military history and the history of the 12th Canadian Armoured Regiment.
